Nudgee (Post Code: 4014)
Nudgee is a north Brisbane suburb located close to the coast, which looks out over Bramble and Moreton Bay. Although the suburb has its own beach, the majority of dwellings are found inland due to accessibility and zoning issues.
The suburb is easily accessible if you follow the main Gateway Arterial around 15km north of the Brisbane CBD. Once you have entered Nudgee most of it has minimal through traffic due to it being between the pocket of the River and the highway.
You will find a mix of residents ranging from young and established families through to retirees. There are facilities as ranged as the Nudgee Golf Course, the Boondall Wetlands Walkway (which is government protected land) and a Rugby League Club. Within very close proximity, Nudgee residents also have access to the Virginia Golf Course and the impressive Chermside Shopping Centre. Ten minutes’ drive and you will be on the doorstep of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre; which hosts international class events from around the world, including sport and music.
Educational institutes are abundant, with the well-known Nudgee College and Australian Catholic University boasting campuses in the area. There are state schools in neighbouring suburbs that cater to both primary and school students. The Padua College Sportsground is also within its boundaries.
Public transport is abundant and it includes bus and train services direct to the CBD. Residential housing is low density in most cases and the suburb boasts a growing median sale price.
